The real-time WYSIWYG LaTeX editor for books and proceedings
The typeset page updates as you type. Write your book or assemble a conference volume, then publish it as a print-ready PDF for print-on-demand, an accessible EPUB, or both, from the same document.
The page updates as you type
texlode recompiles only the paragraph you changed, in a few milliseconds. You see the real typeset page, with final line breaks, figures, and footnotes, while you write, whether the book is 5 pages or 500. Every other LaTeX tool makes you wait for a compile. See the numbers.
Your files stay yours
A texlode book is plain LaTeX in a Git repository you control, so you can export it at any time and compile it anywhere LaTeX runs. It still builds even if texlode disappears tomorrow. Where your data resides.
Writing and publishing in one place
Import a Word manuscript, refine it in the live preview, generate a cover with the correct spine width, and publish: a print-ready PDF checked against Lulu’s print requirements and an accessible EPUB. The four steps.
Conference proceedings
For conference organizers, the same engine assembles multi-volume proceedings from submitted papers, with margin and font compliance checks, DOI stamping, Crossref metadata export, and print-ready output. Already in production for three IAHR conferences in 2026: HIC 2026 (Zaragoza), the 9th IAHR Europe Congress (Luleå) and ISE 2026 (Lausanne). Every volume is print-ready, and the ISE 2026 papers and HIC 2026 full papers carry Crossref DOIs.
See proceedingsHIC 2026 (Zaragoza), the 9th IAHR Europe Congress (Luleå) and ISE 2026 (Lausanne), six IAHR monographs, and over a dozen academic books. Every PDF export is machine-validated against veraPDF.

Checked against Lulu’s print requirements.
Cover
Spine width and bleed from your page count.
EPUB ebook

1. Bring your text
Import from Word, Markdown, or start writing directly in texlode. Your manuscript is automatically typeset with the same algorithms used in journals and textbooks. No formatting work required.
2. Preview and refine
See your typeset book in real time as you edit. Every line break, figure, footnote, and margin appears exactly as it will in print, with no compile cycle to wait through.
3. Generate your cover
Enter your title and subtitle. The cover is generated automatically with the correct spine width, bleed, and barcode, calculated from your page count and trim size.
4. Publish worldwide
texlode checks your print files against Lulu’s print requirements and tells you how to upload them to Lulu’s print-on-demand network. Download your EPUB for ebook platforms. More distribution channels coming soon.

PDF/A is required for long-term archival; PDF/UA is required by the EU Accessibility Act (effective June 2025). A 2024 study found that 75% of scholarly PDFs fail every accessibility criterion.
