Add real-time LaTeX rendering
to your platform.
texlode exposes its rendering engine as an API. Compile LaTeX to typeset output in milliseconds, edit individual paragraphs without recompiling the whole document, and retrieve the rendered pages as structured data. Build it into your editorial workflow, your website, or your own SaaS product.
Three ways to integrate
Whether you run a publishing house, a SaaS platform, or a content-heavy website, the same API powers all three.
Your SaaS platform
You run a publishing, editorial, or document management platform. Your users upload manuscripts, and your platform needs to typeset them. Instead of building and maintaining a TeX installation, call the texlode API: send LaTeX source, receive typeset pages in structured JSON. Real-time paragraph editing included.
Your website
Embed live-rendered LaTeX content directly into your website or web application. Display beautifully typeset math, tables, and text without shipping a TeX distribution to the browser. The API returns structured rendering data that you can paint onto a canvas or convert to any format you need.
Your local workflow
Integrate texlode into your existing editorial pipeline as if it were a local tool. Automate typesetting, batch-compile chapters, and feed the structured output into your quality checks, pagination validation, or content management system. Replace fragile TeX installations with a single API call.
What the API provides
The same engine that powers the texlode editor, exposed as HTTP endpoints.
Paragraph-level compilation
Edit a single paragraph and get the re-rendered result in a few milliseconds. No need to recompile the entire document. The same incremental architecture that makes the editor real-time is available through the API.
Structured output
Rendered pages are returned as structured data that you can display in a browser, convert to PDF, or feed into your own downstream pipeline. No intermediate files, no TeX installation on your end.
Full LuaTeX engine
The API runs the full LuaTeX engine with the same typographic quality as a local installation: Knuth–Plass line breaking, microtypography, OpenType features, mathematical typesetting, and 50+ language hyphenation. No subset, no simplified mode.
Isolated per document
Every document created through the API is served from its own isolated environment. No shared state between documents. Your files and your engine instance are yours alone.
Who it is for
Any team that needs professional typesetting without running its own TeX infrastructure.
Publishing services
Typesetting houses and production services that process manuscripts for publishers. Replace manual pagination pipelines with API-driven automation. Process more manuscripts with fewer people.
Academic platforms
Journal management systems, preprint servers, and institutional repositories that need to render LaTeX submissions for preview, validation, or conversion.
Content platforms
EdTech products, documentation tools, and content management systems that need to render technical content with print-quality typesetting without asking users to install anything.
