Ready.Pub: From accepted papers
to published proceedings
The proceedings service inside texlode. Collect camera‑ready papers, check page size, margins and fonts, and publish a typeset volume with DOIs and digital library indexing.
In production for three IAHR conferences in 2026: HIC 2026 (Zaragoza), the 9th IAHR Europe Congress (Luleå) and ISE 2026 (Lausanne). The ISE 2026 papers and HIC 2026 full papers carry Crossref DOIs. Public launch October 2026.
Six steps to published proceedings
Keep the conference system you have. Ready.Pub takes over at the accepted-papers list and ends at a print-ready, DOI-registered volume.
1. Run your conference
Call for papers, peer review, registration and the program stay in the conference system you already use. Ready.Pub starts where it stops: at “papers accepted.”
Works with: ConfTool, EasyChair, EDAS, OpenConf, Microsoft CMT, Indico, or a shared spreadsheet.
2. Import papers and sessions
Upload the accepted-papers list as CSV or Excel. Fields: paper number, title, authors with e-mail, affiliation and ORCID, keywords, abstract, session and position, PDF filename, DOI; sessions with code, name, date and time. Columns are recognized by their header, and gaps can be filled in later in the metadata table.
Works with: the CSV/XLSX export of your conference system, or our template workbook.
3. Collect the camera-ready papers
Send authors an upload link. No account is needed, and they see compliance feedback (page size, margins, fonts) right away. Or upload everything yourself in one batch: files are matched to papers by paper number.
Works with: PDF and Word (.docx, converted automatically); single files or one ZIP, with or without the metadata sheet inside.
4. Fill in the conference details
Name, dates, location, organizer, publisher, license, ISBN/ISSN, series title and DOI prefix. Enter them once, in the editor or on the Conference sheet of the same workbook; title page, running heads, copyright page and the DOI deposit all draw from them.
Works with: your own ISBN/ISSN and Crossref DOI prefix, or those of your society or publisher.
5. Front matter from the metadata, edited in LaTeX
Editors, committees, keynotes and sponsors come from their sheets in the same workbook. Preface and anything else you add: type LaTeX and see the typeset page update as you write. Table of contents, session dividers and author index are generated from the metadata and follow every reorder.
Works with: any LaTeX template. The document is plain .tex, so you can export it and compile it with LuaLaTeX anywhere.
6. Generate the proceedings PDF and DOI deposit
One print-ready PDF of the whole volume, every paper stamped with its DOI and page numbers. Alongside it: the Crossref deposit XML that registers the DOIs, JATS XML per paper, and the final metadata as CSV or Excel.
Works with: Crossref (schema 5.3.1), digital libraries that ingest JATS 1.3, your printer.
The full pipeline
Everything you would normally do by hand, automated.
Live compilation
LuaTeX compiles the complete proceedings in real time. Front matter, table of contents, session dividers, author index all rendered live as you add or reorder papers.
PDF compliance
Automatic checks for page size, margins, font embedding, and page count. Crop detection and footer/header redaction remove author-applied branding before stamping your own.
Spreadsheet metadata
Every paper's title, authors, DOI, keywords, affiliation, and ORCID in one sortable, filterable, inline-editable table. Double-click any cell to edit.
Structured export
CrossRef deposit XML (schema 5.3.1) with full contributor metadata and ORCID. JATS 1.3 per-paper XML for digital library ingestion. CSV for your own records.
Who it is for
Any conference that needs professional proceedings without paying a major publisher.
Independent conferences
Workshops, symposia, and regional conferences that do not publish through Springer, ACM, or IEEE. Build proceedings that look as professional as publisher-produced volumes.
University-hosted events
Faculty-organized conferences with no publisher contract. Export CrossRef XML to register your own DOIs and get your proceedings indexed.
Professional associations
Engineering societies, medical associations, and standards bodies that run annual conferences and need consistent, branded proceedings across years.
How Ready.Pub compares
Conference management systems handle submission and review. Publishers handle production internally. No tool covers the step in between: turning the accepted papers into a finished volume.
| Live compilation | PDF compliance | PDF stamping | CrossRef XML | JATS XML | Custom templates | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EasyChair | No | No | No | No* | No | Locked |
| EDAS | No | Via PDF eXpress | No | No | No | IEEE only |
| OpenConf | No | No | No | No | No | Author-side |
| Springer LNCS | No | Publisher | Publisher | Publisher | No | llncs only |
| ACM TAPS | No | Auto | Auto | Auto | Auto | acmart only |
| Curvenote | CLI only | No | No | No | No | MyST |
| Ready.Pub | Real-time | Auto | Auto | Schema 5.3.1 | JATS 1.3 | Any LaTeX |
* EasyChair's EPiC series assigns DOIs but does not export CrossRef deposit XML to editors.
Springer LNCS and ACM TAPS handle production internally. Editors cannot use these tools independently.
Send us three PDFs. Get back a volume.
Tell us about your conference. We reply with how to send three camera-ready papers, and we return them as a sample volume: front matter, table of contents, author index and DOI-ready metadata. No account needed.
